Foundational Skills and Knowledge
To gain confidence as a floral artist and designer, you need a solid foundation in the basics of flowers, plant materials, and design principles. These foundational skills are crucial as they provide the freedom and confidence to experiment with new trends and styles, adapt to changes, and continually improve.
Certificate III with Our School
Completing Certificate III with our school will provide you with the essential skills and knowledge to embark on your new career as a florist. You’ll have numerous opportunities to practice new techniques and refine your skills. We offer tutor support to help you create more challenging arrangements and any problems that may arise in the life of a florist.
Practical Experience and Business Skills
Our program will also build your confidence in providing quotes for weddings and large functions and in calculating the number of flowers needed to ensure profitability. We simulate the florist shop experience by setting up flower displays, pricing products, and taking customer orders. Students even get the chance to design their own florist pop-up shop and select suitable products and flowers to sell, which can be incredibly fun!
Open and Information Night
If you would like to learn more and see some of our current students’ work, please join us for our Open and Information Night on June 11. Doors are open at 6 pm, and our tutors will be available to answer any questions you may have during the information session from 7 to 7:30 pm.
