Remote Learning:
Students who are not based in Brisbane can attend scheduled classes remotely via live Zoom. Remote students participate in real time alongside the classroom, complete practical work during class and receive trainer guidance and feedback. Students must have their flowers, equipment, internet connection and camera ready for each class.
Study Commitment:
The part-time course is delivered one day per week for 40 weeks (plus holiday periods) and includes 6 hours of structured training per week.
Students should also allow additional time outside of class to complete workbook activities, projects, assignments and assessment tasks.

Flowers, Starter Pack & Sundries
Students purchase fresh flowers throughout the course and gain valuable experience selecting, preparing and working with seasonal products.
As a guide, allow approximately $100 per day class or $50 per night class, depending on the design brief, season and flower selection.
The Flower School provides each student with a starter pack and a range of core floral sundries. Students will receive a recommended sundry list at the commencement of the course and purchase additional sundries during a guided visit to our wholesale suppliers early in the course.

Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL)
Students with existing floristry skills, industry experience or previous training may be eligible to apply for Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL).
Recognition of Prior Learning allows eligible applicants to have existing skills and knowledge assessed against the requirements of individual units of competency.
The Flower School offers:
- Credit Transfer for previously completed nationally recognised units.
- Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) based on current skills, knowledge and industry experience.
Evidence may include:
- Workplace documentation
- Photographic evidence
- Demonstrations of practical skills
- Industry references or third-party reports
- Competency conversations and interviews
- Previous qualifications and Statements of Attainment
All RPL applicants receive an individual assessment of their experience and evidence before a decision is made.

Securing Your Place
To confirm your enrolment, students are required to:
- Complete all enrolment forms and required documentation.
- Attend an enrolment consultation.
- Complete a Language, Literacy, Numeracy and Digital Literacy (LLND) assessment.
- Provide a valid Unique Student Identifier (USI).
- Submit any supporting identification or funding eligibility documentation required.
- Pay the $400 non-refundable enrolment fee.
- Pay the $1,100 commencement fee no later than 10 days prior to course commencement.
- Eligible students may arrange the remaining balance through an Ezypay payment plan.
